Reflections from AWS Summit Stockholm 2025
Yesterday, I had the chance to attend AWS Summit Stockholm 2025, and it was nothing short of inspiring. With over 7,500 attendees, the event was a clear signal of how quickly the cloud and AI ecosystem is evolving — and how hungry the industry is for real, production-grade solutions.
AI as the New Norm
One clear theme across sessions was the ubiquity of AI. It’s no longer confined to labs or small pilots — companies are now deploying real, scalable AI solutions. The tone was pragmatic, focused on how AI is being woven into everyday operations, not just future visions.
Favorite Sessions
Electrolux & Agentic AI
The standout for me was the session led by Electrolux, showcasing their InfraAssistant — an internal AI solution built using Amazon Bedrock Agents. Key insights included:
- Router AIs that intelligently break down tasks
- Multiple task-specific agents with controlled access
- A solid, production-ready framework for AI in infrastructure
It was an excellent example of pragmatic, secure AI deployment that fits real enterprise needs.
DNB & FinOps at Scale
Another personal favorite was the session with DNB, which focused on FinOps — not just as a cost-cutting tool, but as a strategic operational practice. They demonstrated how financial visibility is woven into day-to-day operations using AWS-native tooling.
Their approach made it clear: understanding and optimizing cloud costs isn’t just a finance issue — it’s part of running a sustainable, accountable tech organization.
Other Highlights
- Axfood’s Generative AI Assistant: A real-world example of AI at scale, helping HR across retail and corporate divisions with 24/7 availability and smart ServiceNow integration.
Final Thoughts
Beyond the tech, it was personally rewarding to reconnect with old colleagues and meet new people. The shared excitement around AI was palpable, and the scale of interest was surprising even to us.
AWS Summit Stockholm 2025 confirmed that we are entering a new era — one where cloud strategy, financial discipline, and AI innovation walk hand-in-hand.
Until next year stockholm!
